Safety and environment

Let’s take care of our safety and environment together.

Our hotel has emergency exits marked, so please make sure you check them carefully. If you notice anything out of the ordinary, please inform the hotel staff.

  • Our thermal energy is mainly produced from bioenergy (pellets). In a neutral energy efficiency comparison, we clearly outperform the industry average. We recycle and sort our waste.

  • We are using a pellet heating plant operated by Adven, and at the spa, the pool-water is heated more environmentally friendly.

The pellet heating plant has reduced carbon dioxide emissions from heating the spa, ice rink and holiday homes by more than 90%.

The 7,500 m2 of space in the main spa-hotel building, the 3,000-4,500 cubic metres of pool and wash water, the ice rink and the holiday homes are heated with domestic wood pellets. The fuel, pellets, are currently sourced from the local wood processing industry. The technology for the new heating plant is also sourced locally, from Kyyjärvi, just over 100 km away.

  • GET TO KNOW YOUR ROOM ENVIRONMENT

Study the evacuation map in your room carefully.
    * Find out the location of the nearest exit route, e.g. the staircase leading to the outside, and also alternative routes.
    * find out the location of the nearest alarm buttons and fire extinguishers
    * find out the telephone number of the hotel reception

IF YOU DETECT A FIRE OR SMELL SMOKE
    – report it to the reception or call the emergency number 112
    – if the fire is small or limited, use the nearest fire extinguisher to extinguish the fire
    – save people in sight and in danger – but also take care of your own safety
    – leave the hotel room as soon as possible, close the door and windows and take the key with you; smoke may force you to return to your room, in which case you will need the key
    – exit by the nearest possible route and go to the assembly point outside the hotel reception area
    – do not use the lift
    – if you are unable to extinguish the fire or if the corridor is full of smoke, stay in your room
    – close the room door carefully

IF YOU CANNOT LEAVE YOUR ROOM
    – call reception on 020 751 6700 or 112 and clearly state your room number and location
    – if you are unable to leave the room on your own or if you use mobility aids, wheelchairs, scooters, etc., also let us know.
    – if necessary, block the bottom edge of the door and the ventilation openings with wet towels

    – move anything that could catch fire away from doors and windows
    – a room with smoke is safest, visibility is best and breathing is easiest as close to the floor as possible
    – if smoke enters the room through a door or ventilation, open a window or balcony door
    – show yourself at the window or on the balcony if it is safe to do so
    – do not jump from the window or balcony – wait for instructions from rescue personnel
